We are seeking a first class API Developer that can help us shape the future of our data platform and connect data in a public/private cloud environment.

Our API infrastructure is a Backend as a Service, centered on micro services supported by important activities including:

  • Life-cycle management including documentation
  • Access control and security
  • Monitoring, metering, billing and payments
  • Container and container orchestration
  • Developer support and partner on boarding

What we seek:

You should have a complete understanding and experience using the REST architectural style

Be an advocate of the value the API-first design:

  • Your API is the first user interface of your application
  • Your API comes first, then the implementation
  • Your API is described (and maybe even self-descriptive)
  • Work closely with internal team and external partners to ensure new developments align with roadmap and integrate seamlessly with other platform components
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and the agile team to ensure all requirements are met
  • Support ongoing development for existing projects/applications
  • Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to enhance applications.

Competence within these areas will be prioritized:

  • WebApi, C# .NET, MVC, .NET Core
  • MySQL databases
  • AWS or Azure
  • Git, TeamCity, Octopus

Desired qualifications

  • Bachelor or higher degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering or similar
  • 3+ years of development experience
  • Strong understanding in object oriented programming and design patterns
  • Ability to learn existing systems as well as new technologies and frameworks
  • Ability to communicate well in English
