Mark Chambers

Vice President of Oil & Gas, Houston

With over 30 years of industry experience, Mark leads the business development team for Oil & Gas in Houston. His aim is to diagnose how weather impacts our clients, working to craft solutions that mitigate losses and maximize effective decision-making.

Mark’s Story

“As critical as the weather forecast is to an organization’s daily operations, I truly believe that what’s even more critical is how that organization prepares for and responds to the weather. As history has shown, those who prepare well are often able to prosper while those who don’t or who are caught off-guard may be faced with tremendous struggles—perhaps even the survivability of the organization. In my position with StormGeo, I find great satisfaction in being able to work with clients and prospective clients by helping them move to a place of preparedness, no matter the weather forecast.”

For as long as he can remember, Mark has had a passion for meteorology. His professional experience includes operational weather forecasting, remote sensing, system administration and business development. He is committed to helping organizations identify and understand how the weather affects their business operations, quantify the impact and then devise strategies to increase safety while minimizing risk and enhancing profitability.

Over the last decade, one of Mark’s specific areas of focus has been forecasting hurricanes and devising new strategies for businesses to become more prepared and resilient for these tropical storms.
