StormGeo offers a variety of trading-related information and meteorology, all presented in Power Weather.

To support decision-making and improve profit margins, energy traders require relevant weather information. Power Weather is a web portal that enables simple and fast access to such information. It displays weather forecasts using all the major weather models in the market.

The forecasts may be presented in different ways:

• Weather maps that enable a comparison of different models and different model runs, for ground level as well as higher up in the atmosphere (e.g. the Jet Stream development)
• Percentile plots and extreme indexes, for risk/reward analysis
• Indexes for energy production potential or consumption, divided into different regions or for the market as a whole
• Wind power module, displaying the expected wind energy production for all European countries that have significant wind power production
• Flexible and user-friendly interface

Power Weather also includes the option of a text update from our Energy Meteorologists, who are specialised in trading-related meteorology. The energy meteorology typically assesses and updates three times daily: Once before the markets open, and twice during the opening hours of the energy exchanges.
