Achilles

StormGeo has been a member of Achilles since 1999.

Achilles ia a global organisation offering global sustainable procurement services with local expertise. Achilles is used to identify, qualify, evaluate and monitor suppliers. Minimising risk in procurement is undoubtedly a strategic activity for today"s successful business.

Achilles" global/local approach means StormGeo is backed by an international organisation, while also benefiting from the individual support and attention that comes from local, "on-the-spot" resources. It builds and supports buyer-supplier communities in many industry sectors, creating unique and powerful global networks. This is important to StormGeo, and it also means a lot to be part of bringing communities together and creating strong global networks in the way Achilles does. It provides accurate and up-to-date information and delivers equal treatment and objectivity to tens and thousands of buyers and suppliers around the world.

FPAL

First Point Assessment Limited (FPAL) is one of a range of supplier management services provided by the Achilles Group.

FPAL is an online tool used by the oil and gas industry to identify, qualify, evaluate and monitor suppliers on behalf of its purchasing members.

It is governed by an industry-based steering committee and is a direct route for StormGeo to gain access to business in the oil and gas industry.

FPAL aims to find the perfect supplier for every buyer. It is about creating an effective supply chain by making suppliers" profiles available online to over 80 purchasing members. The system then interrogates this list of suppliers in order to produce a short list, in accordance with the EU"s Utilities Procurement Directives.

Through its membership, StormGeo is able to create opportunities for business and to manage risk.
