Airport Construction Planning
StomGeo undertakes ultra-fine scale turbulence modelling studies and detailed analysis for optimal airport wind regime planning.
For decades, StormGeo has been involved in fine-scale modelling and analysis work for the mapping and forecasting of turbulence-related problems at airports.
In some extreme cases, relocation analyses related to turbulence problems have also been undertaken.
In particular, many of the smaller, remote airports located in rugged terrain are extremely challenging and our scientists have put a lot of effort into solving problems at these sites.
Articles on the subject, written by StormGeo scientists, have been published in renowned geophysical magazines.
