Hurricane Harvey

TV2 interviewed StormGeo’s Houston-based meteorologist, Dave Gorham about Hurricane Harvey.

According to StormGeo meteorologist David Gorham, “A slow moving powerful hurricane means a lot of rain. With that, rain will cause tremendous flooding. As Hurricane Harvey makes landfall as a strong Category 3 hurricane, it means wind speeds of 125 miles per hour. We expect devastation and catastrophic flooding.

This will be historic. It is a storm like no other affecting the Texas coast. We have not had a Category 3 hurricane strike the U.S. since 2005, when Hurricane Wilma struck the Florida coast. We have not had a storm like this in at least 16 years.”
