Per-Olof Schroeder appointed new CEO of StormGeo

After eight years, during which StormGeo has grown and transformed into a global company with 340 employees in 22 offices across 16 countries, CEO Kent Zehetner hands over to Per-Olof Schroeder who will assume responsibility for StormGeo’s continued development. The Board of Directors of StormGeo has appointed Per-Olof Schroeder as new CEO of StormGeo. Per-Olof Schroeder takes up his new position on 7 June 2017. His most recent position was COO&CMO of the Applications and Services Business Group within Microsoft Western Europe, managing marketing and business operations across twelve national subsidiaries.

Per-Olof Schroeder succeeds Kent Zehetner, who joined StormGeo in 2000 in the R&D department and later became Sales and Marketing Director. In 2009, he took on the role as CEO. “I am so proud to have been a part of this incredible journey together with my 340 weather and technology loving colleagues. The last eight years we have grown from four offices to a global company with 22 offices from Tokyo in the east to Silicon Valley in the west. StormGeo has established itself as the leading provider of advanced analytics for weather sensitive operations. I know in my heart that the best colleagues in the world will bring StormGeo to the next level, amongst the stars,” said Kent Zehetner, who will continue to be a shareholder in StormGeo.
