StormGeo is the largest provider of weather routing, planning & navigation and ship efficiency solutions to the global shipping industry. Our services and products help clients ensure safety and improve their fleet performance

To manage further growth out of Singapore, we seek a critical thinker looking for an opportunity to assume significant responsibility for business growth in a changing industry. Based in our established Singapore office you will be joining a team of shipping professionals located worldwide. The Singapore office will also cover clients based in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and India.

You will be responsible for developing new clients through strategic prospecting, relationship building and solution-selling, with a focus on our leading weather routing services. By understanding, challenging and teaching you will help clients improving their fleet performance, manage risks and ensure safe operations through the use our solutions.

Key responsibilities include

  • Effectively engage with existing and prospective clients and development of a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Truly understand each client’s business objectives and operations, leveraging this knowledge to help them drive a transformation to significantly improved performance.
  • Ensure value realization through robust client success plans.
  • Listen to client feedback and infuse industry relevant insights into client proposals.

The position reports to the regional General Manager based in Singapore and will liaise with other divisions of StormGeo, as required, globally.

Some travel outside Singapore might be needed.

We are looking for a person with

  • Deep knowledge of the commercial shipping industry
  • A self-starter and team player with a desire to provide the best possible results
  • Good analytical skills for tactical and strategic decisions
  • Proven experience in acquiring and building new business
  • A strong interest in new technologies
  • Methodological and systematic approach
  • Bachelor/Masters degree
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in the shipping world
