StormGeo Singapore are covering a wider range of operations for all part of our shipping portfolio, including Customer support, Vessel performance, Navigation and Planning and Route Advisory Services. We are 20+ employees and look forward to strengthen our Routing Operations.

How you’ll contribute

As Route Analyst, you’ll join a team of weather routing experts, working directly with shipmasters and shipping companies in innovative and meaningful ways to ensure we protect the crew and cargo, reduce heavy weather damages, provide more accurate vessel scheduling, curb emissions and reduce fuel costs. Specifically, you’ll contribute to the following:

  • Support StormGeo operations teams in servicing our clients shipping needs
  • Using sophisticated tools, recommend the optimum shipping route, (safest, most time-efficient or fuel-efficient route) in order to protect the safety of the vessel, crew and cargo
  • Address specific vessel and client needs on all aspects of the voyage, from administrative details, data quality, vessel and voyage to performance and safety

Essential Requirements

  • 2+ years of vessel routing experience working as a route analyst/voyage planner.
  • Fluent English written and spoken
  • Strong analytical background
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible rotating shifts
  • Successful approval of work permit (StormGeo will assist)

Desired but not essential requirements

  • Proficiency in Japanese, Korean and/or Chinese language.
  • Previous experience in a maritime related background
