Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, Release Manager/Senior Release Manager to join our global product development and engineering team.

The Release Manager plays a key role in ensuring that we plan, schedule and manage our product releases and projects across a globally distributed team. The Release manager owns product releases and projects within their areas of responsibility and makes sure that each release happens on time and to the desired quality. Senior profiles will be considered for the role of leading Release Management team in addition to managing individual releases. This role will need to work directly with teams in US, UK, Norway, Sweden, Lithuania and India.


  • Maintain a release plan for each product
  • Tracking changes to requirements and making sure that the change process is followed.
  • Manage risks and coordinate resolution of issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • Ensuring technical guides and training are developed for the external functionality that must work together for this release
  • Communicate all release plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes to the rest of the organization
  • Validating and sending the release notes for each release and that the release is operating as expected post release
  • Ensure that everyone involved in the release process is following the agreed process
  • Continually improve the process to keep up with the organizational changes and setup
  • Promote agility among all those involved in the creation of the products
  • Improve and work on the communication between all parties

Qualifications, Experience and Qualities

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 10 year’s experience in Release/Project Management preferably with a Software Product Management company
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to breakdown tasks and create project schedules
  • Exceptional communication skills in both English and Norwegian
  • Good negotiation skills with an ability to collaborate with multiple departments and groups with varied and often conflicting interests
  • Skilled at using MS Projects
  • Assertive and sharply delivery focused
