StormGeo is expanding the Technical Support Team at the Aberdeen, UK office. Our customers operate in a variety of weather sensitive environments including onshore, offshore, in air and at sea. As one of the largest and fastest growing providers of weather intelligence, our customers count on our seven 24/7 operations centers worldwide to safeguard not only their assets but also lives. We have earned a reputation for customer excellence by putting people and the environment first.
Good IT knowledge related to Software Installations, Maintenance, Operating Systems, Database Management and trouble-shooting are essential for the position. Maritime knowledge is a strong advantage, but the right mindset with both analytical and decision-making skills are essential for success. As our industry is continuously evolving, the successful candidate should have the drive and desire to learn/embrace new challenges.
Main responsibility will be providing Tier 2 Technical Support to our clients who subscribe to our different Navigation and Weather products and services. Also assisting and advising internally Tier 1 Support with their investigations and problem solving, having access to the advanced resources and investigation tools. This means also working very closely with the T3 Development Department and Product Specialists.
