 General Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic candidate who will focus on expanding StormGeo’s footprint in the industry vertical offshore oil & gas, by generating new relationships with North America based E&P operators, marine contractors, rig owners, survey companies and other segments within the offshore oil & gas industry. The candidate must have excellent new business generation skills and experience from the Oil & Gas industry. In addition to developing your own client base, you will receive a well-established portfolio of clients, including some of North Americas largest energy companies. You will be part of that you will be working in the intersection of energy transition matters and digitalization

 Key responsibilities:

  • Build and execute account management strategy to existing client base in the offshore oil & gas sector to ensure highest possible retention rates and account growth
  • Build a pipeline of new “logos” to target, develop new client partnerships and close deals with new companies
  • Become a subject matter expert in the assigned industry vertical by understanding and addressing the core needs of each client segment
  • Present the company, our products and services in person and online meetings, industry events and social media
  • Communicate internally with our meteorologists, sales colleagues and management on activities and results, provide feedback and suggestions on product enhancements, new product ideas and business development cases.

Skills & Attributes for success:

  • 3-7 years sales new client acquisition in the Offshore Oil & Gas industry
  • Experience selling and dealing with C-Suites
  • Knowledge and genuine interest in the offshore energy industry and digitalization of industries
  • Ability to build new networks quickly and effectively. Solid network of relationships across North America within the offshore Oil & Gas Industry is a plus
  • Experience in stakeholder management – i.e. collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive prospect/client engagement externally. International experience is a plus.
  • Native English language skills are essential. Additional languages a plus.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Open minded with an eye for new opportunities and innovative solutions
  • Standard Microsoft Office tools and CRM experience

 Work location: U.S. home base, preferably out of Houston, Texas.
