Are you looking to have a role in the advancement of digitalization of onshore businesses and industries?

Due to continued growth, StormGeo is looking for a new Senior sales VP who will focus on our Onshore business lines, predominantly in North America. This person should be energetic and sales driven to assume significant responsibility for business growth across a diverse set of industries. Our onshore business lines cross over energy, utilities, corporate enterprises, onshore oil/gas, retail, manufacturing, finance, media and many more.

StormGeo is a software and software enabled service company and as weather and climate change, our Vortex SaaS solution shape and redesign customer workflows. This promotes cooperation and faster and more efficient decision making based on real- and near-time location/project insight.

Based in Houston, you will be leading a team of industry sales experts both in Europe and USA, and you will be part of the Weather Insights management group. You will spearhead StormGeo’s continued digitalization of the sales process, all the way from creating customer awareness to concluding the sale, delivering the product and issuing the invoice. The position reports by function to the COO of Weather Insights. Your reports are working out of US and Europe. You will liaise with other divisions of StormGeo, as needed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead efforts and launch initiatives to grow and ensure that annual budgets are created and followed.
  • Drive and develop digitalization of StormGeo’s sales and delivery processes
  • Lead development of self and others.
  • Communicate and direct teams around priorities, goals and improvements.
  • Effectively engage with other SG teams, customers and partners.
  • Truly understand clients’ business objectives and operations and leverage this knowledge to drive improved performance and transformation through the sales of StormGeo solutions.
  • Understand client purchasing objectives and infuse industry relevant insights into the sales process.

We are looking for a person with:

  • Deep knowledge of onshore businesses in USA, with experience from the digital B2B sales approach and solution and software sales.
  • 5+ years of sales management and/or marketing experience
  • Proven history meeting or exceeding quota and closing sales and developing digital sales channels.
  • A team player with a desire to provide the best possible results for all teams.
  • Good analytical skills for tactical and strategic decisions
  • Ability to travel and work flexibly.
  • A strong interest in new technologies 
  • Methodological and systematic approach
  • Bachelor/Masters degree in Business or Marketing
