Due to continuing growth, StormGeo is looking for a Solution Sales Specialist who will focus on our s-Planner digital solutions in Planning & Navigation. This person should be a critical thinker looking for an opportunity to assume significant responsibility for business growth in a changing industry.

Based in our established Hamburg office, you will be joining a team of shipping professionals located worldwide. From the Hamburg office you will cover clients and prospects based in Germany and  Central Europe. You will be the lead for the s-Planner Planning & Navigation portfolio in the Sales Region Nordics & Germany

You will be responsible for developing new clients through strategic prospecting, relationship building and solution-selling. While you will become a specialist in Planning & Navigation, you will be expected to explore the scope of our closely related solutions when needed, especially our market leading route optimization capabilities.

The position reports by function to the Regional Sales Head for Nordics & Germany, located in HamburgYou will liaise with other divisions of StormGeo, as needed.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Effectively engage with existing and prospective clients to develop a healthy sales pipeline
  • Truly understand each client’s business objectives and operations—leveraging this knowledge to drive improved performance and transformation through the sales of StormGeo portfolio of solutions
  • Ensure value realization through robust client success plans
  • Listen to client feedback and infuse industry relevant insights into client proposals

 

We are looking for a person with:

  • Who is eager to take up the challenge of making any meeting between StormGeo and the client a success.
  • Deep knowledge of the commercial shipping industry, with relevant experience from solution and software sales
  • A self-starter and team player with a desire to provide the best possible results
  • Good analytical skills for tactical and strategic decisions
  • Proven experience in acquiring and building new business
  • A strong interest in new technologies           
  • Methodological and systematic approach
  • Bachelor/Masters degree
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • German mothertongue, fluent english and preferable basic slavic language skills
