Due to continuing growth, StormGeo is looking for a Solution Sales Specialist who will focus on our shipping solution - the StormGeo s-Suite. We think our new Solution Sales Specialist is a critical thinker looking for an opportunity to assume significant responsibility for business growth in a changing industry.

Based either in our office in Houston/TX or working remotely (home office, Canada or USA), you will be joining a strong team of shipping professionals located worldwide and cover clients and prospects in North America.

This position reports by function to the Director Sales for North America. You will liaise with other divisions of StormGeo, as needed.

As a Solution Sales Specialist you will truly understand each client’s business objectives and operations, leveraging this knowledge to drive improved performance and transformation through the sales of StormGeo portfolio of s-Suite solutions. In this position you will not only ensure value realization through robust client success plans but also guide our clients on new upcoming environmental regulatory changes/updates. The overall responsibility for the Solution Sales Specialist is to listen to client feedback and infuse industry relevant insights into client proposals.  

You will:

  • Effectively engage with existing and prospective clients to develop a healthy sales pipeline
  • Collaborate with other sales expert teams within StormGeo to cross-sell & upsell solutions
  • Give input to our product development team for further development of our systems and services
  • Support other StormGeo teams in the after-sales process and in managing client projects

Who you are:

We’re looking for an inspiring, confident, and persuasive Solution Sales Specialist with a talent in dealing with clients and colleagues and on all levels, who is eager to take up the challenge of making any meeting between StormGeo and the client a success. We expect you are familiar with the commercial shipping industry, and have relevant experience from solution and software sales. You are a self-starter and excellent team player with a desire to provide the best possible results.

What do you know?     

We believe you have more than five years’ sales experience in the shipping industry and a strong interest in new technologies, especially on environmental topics. You have a methodological and systematic approach, good analytical skills for tactical and strategic decisions, and proven experience in acquiring and building new business.

The new Solution Sales Specialist have an academic education within nautical, marine engineering, naval architecture or equivalent. You are fluent in speaking and writing English and ideally in Spanish as well, and have a willingness to travel.
