OKEE Maritime adds environmental performance tools from StormGeo

German shipowner OKEE Maritime has implemented a range of additional digital tools from StormGeo to improve environmental performance aboard its managed fleet of ten container vessels in regional feeder services worldwide.

In addition to onboard weather-based route optimisation software and data reporting, Hamburg-based OKEE Maritime has added fleet performance management services and gianed access to StormGeo’s s-Insight platform, which includes a newly released Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) Simulator.

“Our vessels are competitive, and we want them to continue this way. StormGeo’s CII Simulator supports us in determining CII ratings and finding ways to improve them through implementing operational measures,” said Bastian Herkendell, Fleet Manager at OKEE Maritime.

“Having transparency in our operations that includes CII tools supports us in optimising operational efficiency jointly with our charterer.”

OKEE Maritime will also be supported with alert services, with experts from StormGeo’s fleet performance centre providing customised alerts on vessel performance to inform crew onboard and shore-based fleet managers of any significant relevant events.
