At Alfa Laval, sustainability is at the core of our business. We offer solutions and services that empower our maritime customers to decarbonize, digitize, save energy and comply with environmental regulations.

Weather routing is a crucial service for the shipping industry. In short, it helps shippers save time, fuel and maintain safety on their voyages by using technical data from the vessel combined with weather data.

In this decade, shipping companies have faced more challenges including ESG and environmental compliance. Weather Routing or voyage optimization has become more complicated and evolved to achieve multiple objectives.

Apart from voyage optimization, what should the shippers and investors further consider especially for decarbonization? New ship designing and existing fleet upgrading by energy-saving technology, for instance, air lubrication technologies, or new fuels would be another necessary option.

In this forum, Alfa Laval and StormGeo (as part of Alfa Laval) will join together to present smart green sailing to achieve multiple objectives in different perspectives from marine daily operations, digital tools, to marine equipment.
