Norway Night | Apr 26 | Clifford Pier

High-level maritime decision-makers will meet up at Norway Night – the exclusive and biennial Singapore Maritime Week networking event - on 26 April 2023 at Clifford Pier. Together with sponsors from the Norwegian maritime industry, and in partnership with the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), Team Norway is hosting the maritime party of the year – inviting maritime leaders and executives, senior government officials and diplomats for a night of networking and all things Norwegian: Norwegian Seafood, Norwegian cocktails, and sounds of Norway by the renowned jazz artist Felix Peikli and his Singaporean ensemble.

“Norway Night is a celebration of a solid and longstanding maritime partnership with Singapore and our other maritime partners worldwide! The ocean industries have a key role to play in the transition toward a greener future. Norway is determined to continue to push the boundaries and pursue new opportunities together with like-minded partners such as our Singaporean friends!” Ambassador Homme, 2023.

Norway Night is hosted by the Norwegian Embassy in Singapore together with Team Norway partners and sponsors from the Norwegian maritime industry. Digitalization Advancing Decarbonization of Maritime Trade

The maritime industry is facing tremendous pressure to reduce carbon emissions and achieve decarbonization goals to combat climate change. Carbon emissions reporting will soon impact commercial contracts. Unfortunately, many players have yet to adopt the available technologies to accurately measure, report, and reduce emissions. There is also a significant potential for developing and implementing effective methods and technologies to reach the decarbonization targets.

Digitalization offers multiple ways to achieve the decarbonization of the shipping industry, including real-time monitoring and optimization, automation, and efficient logistics.

Join us at our upcoming matchmaking event to explore these solutions and more. This event is essential for startups, industry players, and investors seeking to develop commercially viable digital solutions for decarbonization in the shipping industry.

The matchmaking sessions are the highlight of the event, providing a great opportunity for innovative startups to connect with industry players and investors/banks, pitch their ideas, and explore potential partnerships and investment opportunities.

Additionally, the conference will announce and open nominations for the SNIC Innovation Awards, which will be presented at SNIC 2023 – Innovate to Zero on September 29. The SNIC Innovation Awards recognize and celebrate companies that have developed, adapted, or innovative solutions to help solve the challenges facing the shipping industry and contribute to its decarbonization efforts.

Don’t miss this chance to be a part of the conversation and contribute to the growth and development of innovative digital solutions that can help address the challenges facing the shipping industry!
